The Morgans Lookout project involved the galvanizing of a stairway and elevated viewing platform system with tough corrosion protection from the elements and designed to improve safe public access to a historic granite outcrop. The Challenge
The lookout’s remote hilltop location exposed the structure to harsh environmental conditions, requiring superior corrosion protection. The project called for complex stairway and platform components needing full internal and external coating coverage for long-term durability. The difficult terrain had also presented a high risk to visitors and was a strong public safety concern.
